I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in a private practice in Tustin, CA. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at San Diego State University and I went on to obtain my masters degree from Chapman University's nationally accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program.
I specialize in work with teens and young adults navigating life transitions, including but not limited to transitions into the work force, navigating family and personal relationships, body image/self esteem, and stressors related to social pressures. Prior to private practice I worked as an outpatient therapist with the County of Orange for over two years, specializing in work with children, teens, and families impacted by trauma. Additional experience also includes positions as a school counselor in both the private and public school settings and supervisory experience.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist my goal is to help you discover your full potential and lead the life you imagined for yourself. Working with various therapeutic approaches, we will work to develop a greater understanding of your values, behaviors, reactions, and emotions so that you can identify and create your life's story. I find inspiration in working with clients who have overcome adversity to enter the next chapter of their lives with strengthened resilience and resources; and joining with those clients looking to begin this process. I am trained in multiple methodologies and models including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Family Systems perspective. I utilize a comprehensive approach when working with clients, combining different methodologies to provide a compassionate and individualized plan of treatment.
