I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in a private practice in Tustin, CA. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at San Diego State University. I went on to obtain my masters degree from Chapman University's nationally accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program.
Prior to private practice I worked as an outpatient therapist with Seneca Family of Agencies for over two years, specializing in work with children, teens, and families impacted by trauma. A majority of my work and training was directed toward supporting families involved in adoption and foster care. I most recently worked as a supervisor for a Wraparound program; an intensive, crisis based program working with families impacted by social services, significant mental health challenges, and probation. I managed a team of nine staff providing clinical supervision and support. Additional experience also includes positions as a school counselor in both the private and public school settings and work with young adults navigating life transitions and changes.
I am inspired by working with clients who have overcome adversity to enter the next chapter of their lives with strengthened resilience and resources. I am trained in multiple methodologies and models including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Family Systems perspective, and play therapy. I utilize a comprehensive approach when working with families, combining different methodologies to provide a compassionate and individualized plan of treatment. To better serve my clients, I regularly receive training and stay up to date on current psychological research.
